The UPCD would like to thank the Orofacial Pain Association of the Philippines (OPAP) and the UP TOPP- Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain Program Faculty Members for facilitating Professor Okeson's visit to the UPCD. Professor Okeson was in the country as the keynote speaker for the 19th Asian Academy of Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Disorders - 9th Orofacial Pain Association of the Philippines Joint International Conference.
As the only university-based Orofacial Pain Program in the country, the UP TOPP invited the world-renowned orofacial pain expert who also happens to be the current Dean of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, to visit the UPCD in order to establish initial ties for potential collaborative initiatives between the 2 institutions particularly through their respective orofacial pain training programs.
